Ascendant

Since October 2023, I have been working through Redhill Games as a co-development partner with PlayFusion on their multiplayer FPS, Ascendant.

I have been mostly making a real-time reverb and slap-back echo system in Unreal Engine. It’s a spawnable actor that uses line tracing to scan the environment around the player pawns and other critical actors.

I also made some debug tools to make our day-to-day work better. One of them is the audio tab of the game’s internal QA tool:

The other one is an editor utility widget we use for debugging audio:

Another minor task was the evaluation of different solutions for implementing binaural audio.
